Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store an Armor cartridge?

An Ink Jet or Toner Cartridge that has not been removed from its packaging does not fear much ... Of course, the packaging has been designed to protect the cartridge and the ink (or toner) it contains.

However, some habits may allow you to keep it longer, for perfect printing!

First, store your ink cartridges in a cool, dry place. But beware, the refrigerator is not a solution! Ink density may change and flow poorly when printing. The same applies to toner cartridges.

Then, keep your cartridges in the “right direction,” i.e., the way the cartridges are displayed in the store, for example. No question of storing them lying on their side or loose in a drawer !

When should I use dye-based inks or pigment inks?

Dye-based inks contain soluble organic dyes which ensure exceptional colour saturation but are generally not very water resistant and may fade quickly in direct sunlight. These inks are particularly brilliant.

Pigment inks are very resistant to fading but may result in slightly less vivid colours. Pigment inks are water resistant and may last for many years under indoor exposure.

Why such a price difference?

OEMs invest in research and development budgets to develop their printer product ranges.

OEM consumables participate in these budgets.

Armor invests 3% of its annual sales in research and development, to provide you with inks of similar quality

to OEM cartridges. For information, multipacks offers are even more economical for consumers.

Is it true that our cartridges are cheaper than the OEM cartridges?

True, by buying Armor consumables you can save up to 50% compared to OEM consumables and even more by buying multipacks (1 black cartridge free).

What can I do with my used cartridges?

Home Consumers: Return to your store to drop off your Laser or inkjet cartridges in collection terminals. You can use pre-paid bags in some inkjet cartridge packages.

Distributors - Businesses: Contact us, we have a solution for you as a specialist in remanufacturing. We collect your Inkjet or Laser cartridges through our in-house service (Recoll) or through our approved partner (Revial) throughout Europe.

You just need one address: empties@armor-group.com

Why protect the environment by purchasing a remanufactured cartridge?

Currently, most ink cartridges are disposed of in landfills worldwide. Every year we need more than 750,000 m3 to dump that amount. That’s four major football stadiums. Yet, it is possible to reuse ink cartridges. Reusing decreases when the number of cartridges thrown away by 66% to 75%! Each recycled ink cartridge means less in landfills. And it means better preservation of our land’s natural resources.

Consider the collection program: do not throw cartridges in the trash !

What rate of return has Armor achieved?

  • The customer rate of return is on average
  • Mono Laser Cartridges <0.4 %
  • Colour Laser Cartridges <0.8 %
  • New Inkjet <0.75%
  • Remanufactured Inkjet <2%

Do Armor cartridges have the same capacity as original cartridges ?

Yes and more! All our cartridges are filled to 100% capacity. So you print just as much as with the original cartridges. Our cartridges are certified according to ISO tests and international yield tests.

High-capacity cartridges Armor print even more than OEM cartridges.

Is the print quality worse?

No, Armor is a major brand that designs and manufactures its own products. This is why we can guarantee 100% technology and manufacturing mastery. Armor products are tested according to very strict procedures ensuring optimal quality (European Standards and Certifications).

Are Armor cartridges guaranteed?

Yes, fully. For a period of two years from the date of purchase, Armor guarantees its inkjet cartridges will operate perfectly. In addition, with its standing “Satisfied or your Money Back” offer (Euro zone only), any defective Inkjet product will be automatically refunded or replaced.

Laser cartridges are guaranteed for their lifetime, i.e. without any time limit.

Is there an Armor cartridge for my printer?

Yes, in more than 95% of cases, Armor has designed a cartridge for each of your Inkjet or Laser printers. You can check and find out the Armor item number using the search engine on this site.

An Armor compatible or generic cartridge, what is it?

A generic or compatible cartridge (Laser or Inkjet) is a product that is not manufactured by a printer manufacturer (OEM cartridge), but is perfectly suited to it and is 20% to 40% cheaper.
