Printing differently is good for the planet! Used cartridge life cycle analysis shows that it is up to twice as beneficial to reuse rather than recycle its components (energy, raw materials, and waste savings). Regenerating a print cartridge is cheaper than manufacturing one; less energy is spent; and the raw materials are already there! Faced with these environmental and health issues related to waste reduction, and to limit resources wastage, cartridge reconditioning must be developed and promoted. In this manner, 1.5 kg of waste can be saved per recharged cartridge. France is lagging behind in printer cartridge recycling: currently only 10% of cartridges are recycled in France, compared to 55% in the United States, 35% in Great Britain, Germany, and the Netherlands. Annual consumption is around 190 million cartridges per year and over 80% of them simply end up in the wastebasket. It’s a real problem because they contain highly polluting metals and chemicals. Yet recycling is possible.

By using a cartridge collection and reclamation channel, you are helping reduce our landfills and preserve our natural resources.
Did you know that each cartridge contains 188 ml of oil in the plastic? That about 100 years are necessary for plastic to biodegrade? Recycling plastic is, moreover, very difficult since the plastic used to manufacture the cartridge is mixed with resin.
Why collect used ink cartridges?
